Impact of fashion on your career ( different dresscode for different occasion).

Alot of people might be in the state of confusion and disagreement with me on this but let’s talk about it.

It is no secret that how you dress can leave a long lasting impression on your peers. Showing up at a job interview with stained and wrinkled cloth certainly won’t give a good first impression on your employer, having in mind something as tiny as dressing can either get you the job or disqualify you.

Research shows that your dresscode can either give a negative or positive impact on your dream job or career. It can also impact on how others perceive you and how you perceive yourself. Trust me your confidence level can be shown on how you dress up. The word dressing is an act of knowing to carry one-self during various occasion we partake in. Which involves paying respect to yourself, occasion involved and people around.

Most times people wonder, why one cant wear a pair of Jean, T-shirt and Slippers for an interview with the mindset that they are going just sit through out the question sessions doesn’t it really matter.

According to “Merriam Webster, Dressing is a prevailing style during a particular time that is there are different styles/clothing for different occasion and all you need is to identify and distinguish them. It may be too difficult with so many outfit available even when dresscode is given but always have in mind that every occasion has a particular style and dresscode that suit it.

It is very necessary to understand the different dresscode for different occasion to avoid getting confused. Here are few dresscode for different occasion;

Formal Office wear: No matter what do not joke with this. It includes what you wear to a typical cooperate environment either for meeting or interview. Always know that when it comes to office or formal places everything has to be in moderation.

For ladies suits are very perfect but if not available pants, shirt, skirt, modest tops and flat pair shoes or moderate heels will be nice.

For the men suit or pair of plain shirt buttons up with your tie and pair of shoes will be perfect.

Causual wear: These are outfit for informal meetings and activities like cinema , mall and club. Some perfect dresscode include ripped jean, jumpsuit etc.

Business casual: This is a less formal business wear on off shoot of the formal office wear. Some outfit for this wearing suit with sneakers.

Native wear: Made from African print though most people wear it as formal office wear with heels the fact remains it really has it own occasion to be worn.

Smart causual: These include Jean’s, palazoo, bright colored shirt. One of the significant difference between it and business casual is its liberal style which involves accessorizing and mixing colors unlike business casual.

Active wear: These are otherwise known as sports wear. It is just for physical exercise and sport activities but most people convert it to their causual wear. Example cap, track suit, joggers e.t.c.

It is important to note that dresscode/fashion can change from causual to business by the way you accessorize, rock your shoes, this means the look you pull can be dependent not only on clothes but shoes and accessories. I hope this can serve as a guideline so anytime you get confuse do not forget to consult your guide.

5 Unique ways to rock your tees(T-shirt)

Every woman must have atleast 2 basic tees in her closet whether for random errands or occasion, which is also a great option if you are looking for lowkey vibes. YES we are into curve-hugging designs, everyone wants to enjoy a good body con dresses , tops etc but no doubt sometimes we need loose, breezy pieces for comfort too. One fun thing about big tees is the complete comfortability. Trust me, the feeling is like taking a cup of chill drink after a stressed up day. I don’t know about you but some days all I want to do is put on a big tee(T-shirt) and call it a day. Most times, I will say that the fashion statement is underrated. I know some people might pop up the question why? Anyway am going to brief it up because most people don’t really understand the fashion world, which makes them probably go for the bold fashion sense which might not fall into the occassion of the day.However, learning how to dress up a big tee (T-shirt) is a skill everyone should not delay to master. Their are different ways to rock your big tees (T-shirt) and look really fashionable but let’s highlight a few;

As a dress : Questions like how is that possible!! Lol don’t worry trust me on this one. I see it as fashion sense that portrays Uniqueness and class simultaneously all you need to do is try to rock it with fishnet, boots and fashion accessories.

Ankara skirt :

All you need is to be creative with your ankara skirt style to bring out the sense of hotness and confidence. Just choose a unique design then rock with a graphic or plain tees and thank me later. Trust me you can never go wrong with the African print .

With a short:

Most people will be screaming in their head Ahh!!! is damn too casual. A tee with a short might look casual depending on where you are headed but wearing a pair of heels or sneakers elevates the boldness.

Jean especially the mom jean : Jean and a tee are classic combo that shouldn’t be underestimated by even the most fashion forward women. Both of these pieces are very comfortable and can be worn for event that requires little or more formality. Combination of them create an unstoppable radiant look.

With biker short, waist belt and sneakers:

This is what I call the peak of comfort and class. Damn the look is what i call gorgeous especially with a ponytail hairstyling.

Believe it or not solid tees work well as the foundation for your outfit. They are very comfortable, simple and extremely versatile. Go get more of it and rock the world because is an amazing place

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW AND MAINTAIN YOUR CONTACT LENS.

One of the recent Fashion Statement in the world is the “Contact lens” which is an artificial device whose front surface Substitute the anterior surface of the cornea. Also known for its exceptional charming eye look and can be worn for two major purposes;

Cosmetic purposes

Refractive purposes

Both involves maintaining personal hygiene to avoid cases like protozoan infections like Acanthamoeba.  As much as contact lenses can be worn for two major purposes, research have proven that the percentage of people that put on contact  lenses for cosmetic purposes is at the increase and also people who wear it for refractive purpose include cosmetic purpose as one of their reason. Some give reasons like “ Spectacles  makes me look unattractive”, others “ ohhh!!! My eyes feels so heavy with a pair of glasses” etc. contact lenses can come in different color depending on your fashion taste and statement but the most common colors include brown, honey brown, sterling grey to mention a few.

       There are different types of contact lenses I bet a lot of people don’t               know about that but do not worry, here is a quick rundown about them;

Hard lenses : they are manufactured from polymethylmetharcylate. which has a high optical quality, light weight, durable and cheap but it also has its disadvantage which is it been practically impermeable to oxygen.

Rigid gas permeable lenses: they are basically hard but due to their oxygen permeability they are regarded as semi-soft lenses. RGP are commonly manufactured as silicone acrylate a copolymer of PMMA and silicone containing vinyl monomer.

Soft lenses: they are the most common and most prescribed in clinical practice. It is made up of Hydroxythylmetharcylate  which makes it the most comfortable.

In as much as we have listed the types and purpose of contact lenses in the fashion world, Contact lenses still have its “DO’S and DON’TS which helps to maintain the natural lens and the artificial lens.

 RULE GUIDING CONTACT LENS WEAR ( DO’S AND DON’TS).

1. Always wash and rinse your hands thoroughly before handling your lenses or touching your eyes. 

2. Clean your lenses after removal as indicated by healthcare practitioner.

3. When handling your lenses, work over a clean flat surface.

4. Make sure the lenses don’t discolor the lens.

5. Make sure you remove frequently especially when it does not involve extended wear.

Since we have been talking about the purpose, types and rules guiding contact lenses, it is advisable you also know the indication and contra indication of contact lenses because it serves as a tool to determine when to wear to contact lenses.

Indication of contact lenses include; 

for preventive cases such as prevention of symblepharon.

it can also serve as operative indication in cases like viterctomy etc.

Some of the contra indication include ;

Mental incompetence

Poor motivation 

Chronic blepharitis and recurrent styes

Corneal dystrophy

 These and more are the indication and contraindication of contact lens wear. It is advisable that before you make use of the contact lens whether for refractive or cosmetic purpose you endeavour to observe the necessary rules and go with the motto “ CONTACT LENS HYGIENE, CATCHY EYES, CHARMING LOOK (C^3)’’.
